Room & Board

The Conference offers single or double dormitory rooms; bathrooms are shared. Most rooms have only an overhead light. Dormitories used by the Conference are air conditioned. Participants with special housing needs should speak with Gwen E. Kirby. The Conference fee includes a full board plan. In addition to hearty, varied entrées, the regular menus include a salad bar and are planned to accommodate vegetarian diets. Arrangements for special diets must be made in advance through the Conference office. Participants will not be reimbursed for meals eaten outside our facility.

Once in Sewanee, many participants find cars to be unnecessary. Accommodations, classrooms, meals, and social events are all within easy walking distance of the Bairnwick Women’s Center, where most readings and lectures take place. University buildings are accessible for people with disabilities and appropriate parking spaces are reserved.
