Richard BauschRichard Bausch (fiction) saw his first novel, Real Presence, published in 1980 by Dial Press. Ten others include Take Me Back, Mr. Field’s Daughter, Violence, Hello to the Cannibals, Thanksgiving Night, and, in 2008, Peace. His first collection of stories, Spirits, was nominated for the PEN/Faulkner Award. Others include Rare & Endangered Species, Someone to Watch over Me, and Wives & Lovers: 3 Short Novels. In addition to other honors, he has received the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in the Short Story. Currently Chancellor of the Fellowship of Southern Writers, he holds the Moss Chair of Excellence at the University of Memphis.
