Tony Earley (fiction) is the author of a story collection, Here We Are in Paradise, which won him recognition from Granta and the New Yorker as one of America’s best young fiction writers. His novels are Jim the Boy and its sequel, The Blue Star, which appeared in 2008. His collection of personal essays, Somehow Form a Family, was published by Algonquin in 2001. His work has appeared in the New Yorker, Harper’s, Granta, Esquire, and elsewhere and has been widely anthologized. Winner of a PEN Syndicated Fiction Award, he is the Samuel Milton Fleming Associate Professor of English at Vanderbilt University.
