Sewanee Writers on WritingThe wisdom of some of this country's best authors has recently been published in Sewanee Writers on Writing, a collection of craft lectures gleaned from the first ten years of the Sewanee Writers' Conference. Edited by Conference director Wyatt Prunty and published by the Louisiana State University Press, Sewanee Writers on Writing offers a range of perspectives on the craft as practiced by the playwrights, poets, and fiction writers who have made the Conference a mecca for developing talent.

The book includes essays from Russell Banks, John Casey, Ellen Douglas, Horton Foote, Ernest Gaines, Anthony Hecht, John Hollander, Diane Johnson, Donald Justice, Romulus Linney, Alice McDermott, Marsha Norman, Francine Prose, and Wyatt Prunty.
